THE FOUNDER

As founder, Talbot Babineau is responsible for actively pursuing new investment opportunities and maximizing the value of Bryson’s existing portfolio. Talbot has accumulated nearly two decades of experience being a successful entrepreneur and investor.

In 2010, he was engaged by two highly successful Canadians to form and manage their Family Office. The Family Office experienced tremendous success under his management and, in 2014, Talbot founded IBV Capital.

IBV Capital was an investment manager dedicated to delivering attractive long-term rates of return through our value-oriented approach. It invested across developed markets globally in high-quality businesses that are undervalued because they are misunderstood, overlooked, or temporarily affected by a market event.

Prior to forming the Family Office and founding IBV Capital, Talbot held various positions at institutional real estate firms where he was responsible for investment activities and strategic planning.

Currently, Talbot is a Non-Executive Director at AMA Group Limited. AMA Group is the biggest collision repair network across Australia and New Zealand. His philanthropic pursuits include an appointment as a Non-Executive Director at the Lung Health Foundation. The Lung Health Foundation is Canada’s largest not-for-profit that’s dedicated to ending gaps in the prevention, diagnosis, and care of lung disease.

Talbot is a CFA Charterholder and earned an Honours Economics and Financial Management degree from Wilfrid Laurier University
